Don’t you find it a little bit wearing to be bombarded with invitations to join someone on Twitter, find them on Facebook or join one of the myriad of social networking sites?  And how many Search Engine Optimisation consultants does it take to change a light bulb?

My website is for my professional friends to find out what I’m up to and for their clients to find out what service they may get from me.  I don’t want to be the umpteenth broker being asked for  a competitive quote from a surfing stranger who asserts “well you have to shop around”.  Actually, no you don’t; that’s what a good broker will do for you.

As for more about me, if LinkedIn doesn’t tell you enough let’s meet for a chat. I’ll spare you news of what sort of salad I had for lunch and a viewing of my holiday snaps.  Some professional firms use social media a lot, apparently successfully and good luck to them but forgive me if I say I have enough business without it and if I were to adopt Twitter and the like I would get further away from the quality of business I really want and I wouldn’t have time to give your clients the service they deserve.
